Beckley Housing Authority has approximately 15 employees. They work to provide service through our programs, along with the Board of Commissioners, to provide a better opportunity to the community through affordable housing. Our goal is to help improve the quality of life for our residents and build stronger, more self sufficient community in the corporate city limits of Beckley, WV. Beckley Housing Authority has five public housing communities and the Housing Choice Voucher Program that provides housing for an approximate total of 700 families.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Beckley Housing Authority is a public agency with the mission of providing eligible families with low-rent housing. Such families may include those with children, the elderly, disabled and single people.

The Authority does not discriminate based on an applicant’s race, religion, sex, color, national origin, age, disability or familial status. The Authority is obligated to provide reasonable accommodations to applicants if they or any of their family members have a disability. Reasonable accommodations would be those changes the Authority may make to its units to help eligible applicants or residents with disabilities access the living space.
